Our destination wedding in Portugal

Dreams came true when we got to celebrate our union by the Atlantic coastline - in our beloved Portugal 💛.

I still can’t believe we were able to pull off our wedding party exactly the way we always dreamt of! Beach wedding has been a ‘nice idea’ that kind of lingered on the back of my mind since forever. I couldn’t even start to imagine the ‘implementation’ aspect of such an event - until we just decided to ‘do it’!

There wasn’t much of a contemplation when it comes to the location - we knew it had to be Portugal. We love the ocean, the climate, the vibe - it’s in fact quite different from the Mediterranean.

Funnily enough, the ocean was quite flat, with minimal waves for the entire 10 days we spent in Portugal in August-September 2022. 😅

The venue

Our entire planning and prep was remote. We’ve researched a couple of options and decided to go for Arriba in Cascais. The views of the ocean were breathtaking - I can’t imagine a better place to do this. I'd choose it again.

The structure

Since we decided to go for a civil ceremony earlier in the summer, Portugal was more about the fun part, enjoying the sun, spend some time and have fun with our close friends and family.

Starting with a cocktail in the sun, symbolic wedding ceremony, dinner and the party.
