It's been almost 10 years since I visited Spain for the first and the last time. After only traveling to Valencia, I was curious what can one find in central Spain - the capital Madrid.

Turns out- Madrid is a gastro heaven. Let pictures speak for themselves at one of Madrid's food markets - Mercado de San Miguel

Weather in the second half of January can vary -  first few days were quite cold with heavy winds but it it got much warmer when sun popped up. Warm and sunny days brought temperatures above 15 degrees - which is essentially a jumper weather with a side of ice cream. :)

Magnificent

The old town is quite compact and walkable. Everything worth visiting is max 30 min by walk.
